Learn the foundations of your Bikram Yoga practice. In this interactive workshop for beginners, you will discover the basics of the 26/2 series, including:
- Learn the setups and correct alignment of the postures
- Benefits of postures
- Posture break downs
- How to "lock the knee"
- The different breathing techniques we use in class
- How to develop that mind-body connection to aid in becoming stronger mentally & physically!
- The opportunity to ask your burning questions and better understand this powerfully therapeutic practice & more!
Perfect for those just starting their practice and those wanting to learn more!
Bring along: mat, towel, water, pen & paper, and comfortable clothes (suitable for doing postures).
Shannon began practising Bikram Yoga in 2006. After her first year of practice, she moved to Byron and completed an Iyengar Yoga Teaching Course, which was next door to a Bikram Yoga studio in Byron… the whole time feeling like she was in the wrong studio! After a year, she moved back to Adelaide and decided to become a Bikram Yoga teacher; she certified in November 2010, in San Diego, USA. She then completed Bikram Yoga’s Advanced Course in January 2012 on the Gold Coast. She has also competed in the Bishnu Ghosh Yoga Championship in 2013. Shannon has now been practising for over fifteen years and teaching for eleven. Shannon finds teaching the most rewarding, being able to watch people’s bodies and minds grow and change. She loves learning from everyone around her and being able to share the gift of yoga!
